Description

Sumatriptan 100mg is used to treat severe migraine headache. The medicine helps you relieve headache with other symptoms related to migraine such as nausea, vomiting. It is not useful in preventing headaches. The medicine comes in a nasal spray, nasal powder and injective solution. It helps to bring back the blood vessels back to their normal size as migraine expands the blood vessels in the brain. The medicine also helps to prevent the brain chemicals released to cause inflammation during a migraine.

Genetics and environmental factors with a huge variety of symptoms are the reasons for the cause of migraine. The brainstem changes and its interaction with the trigeminal nerve (pain nerve) is a sign to cause a migraine headache. The imbalance in brain chemicals might also be involved.
