Description

Isotretinoin 10mg is medicine also known as 13-cis retinoic acid. The medicine used to treat severe acne problem like acne vulgaris or cystic acne also known as nodular acne. The medicine also works on the acne that other medicines have stopped working on. The medicine is also known as a natural occurring of derivative of Vitamin A. The medicine does not work for prepubertal acne. It is also a teratogen medicine. The medicine works by decreasing the sebum production (facial oil) from the skin as high amount of sebum can cause severe acne. The medicine might contain inactive ingredients that can cause some side effects.

When the pore of skin gets clogged with dead skin cells, it leads to pimples or acne. A person can have acne due to the blockage by bacteria in the pores of the skin. It usually appears on the face, upper back, shoulders of the body. When the infection gets deeper in your skin through the pores it can cause cystic acne. It the acne burst, the infection can spread around the surface of your skin causing more breakouts. The breakouts usually occur within teenagers or old people. The problem is more common in men, but it can affect women too.

Usage

Isotretinoin 10mg is to be taken as prescribed by the doctor. The medicine is to be taken by mouth with water. Do not chew or crush the medicine. The medicine is to be taken regularly for better results. The course of the medicine can be done twice if acne breaks-out again.

Dosage

Do not overdose Isotretinoin 10mg medicine. The medicine is to be taken once or twice in a day with a doctor’s recommendation only. Avoid the use of alcohol. It can be taken with or without food. If you skip the medicine, do not overdose in the next medicine interval.

Precautions

Do not donate blood while on the medications. Do not try cosmetic procedures while taking the medicine. Do not touch cyst as the infection can get deeper within your skin. Avoid pregnancy after medication for a short period of time.
